Meet Group 3 - Part 4

Scott MacIntyre

Scott, 23, auditioned in Phoenix (as did Michael), and is Idol's first blind contestant (he has congential amaurosis). He wowed us in his initial audition, where Simon called him "a cool dude." Scott is most comfortable singing behind the piano, where he's been playing since the age of 5. Scott's done a lot for only being 23. At 14 he began studying piano performance at Arizona State University; the following year he debuted with the Phoenix Symphony as a guest soloist. He received a master's degree from the Royal College of Music in London in 2006. We're anxious to see how Scott performs without his piano Tuesday night, but anticipate he'll have no trouble soaring into the Top 12. And if he does, someone tell Ryan Seacrest not to try high fiving him again.

Lil Rounds
Described as one of the judges' favorites (not to mention one of ours) from the initial auditions, Lil received a standing ovation after belting out "I Will Always Love You" in Hollywood. Lil, a mom of three, auditioned in Kansas City shortly after a tornado destroyed her home in Memphis. Simon has said he loves her "retro, classy" style. Randy called her a mix between Mary J. Blige and Fantasia Barrino. We love Lil Rounds' big voice and passion. If she brings both Tuesday night, she should have no problem convincing America to vote for her.
